Uniweld NV1 NitroVue™ simplifies the purging of nitrogen during the brazing of copper tubing in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems with an “easy” to read flow indicator label and a precision adjustable valve to control the low flow of nitrogen gas.

The bright orange float ball and tube are fortified and protected in the aluminum body with wide open windows for a clear view.

The easy to see orange float ball visually confirms the nitrogen is flowing and allows the technician to first “PURGE” the copper lines at 20+ SCFH and then reduce the flow to “BRAZE” at 3-5 SCFH during the brazing process thus conserves its consumption and reduces operating cost.

The nitrogen must be flowing to displace the oxygen inside the tubing during the brazing process, preventing internal oxidation and the resulting scale. Scale build up inside the tubing can cause blockage in the TXV and within the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration system resulting in premature failure. If the ball does not rise in the tube there is no flow of nitrogen only static pressure and oxygen is not being displaced.

The NV1 must be connected to a Nitrogen Regulator with the delivery pressure set at 60 PSI to control the nitrogen gas pressure.

The NV1 is protected from over pressure with a reseatable safety blow off that opens at 200+ PSI.

Unscrew QwikInjector® top and fill with liquid additive, such as QwikShot.*Fill completely to ensure air does not get trapped in vesselConnect the QwickInjector® as Shown in the Illustrations.It is desirable to have liquid overflow over the edges. The overflow indicates that there is no excess air within the Injector.
  2. Connect to the low side of the operating system FIRST.
  3. Connect to the high side of the operating system LAST.
  4. Open the valve on the manifold. The high side pressure will push the liquid into the low side of the system.

CAUTIONS

  • Maximum Working Pressure is 800psig.
  • Never leave QwikInjector® connected to the hoses. After use, always disconnect and disassemble.
  • Depress the valve core to relieve pressure prior to unscrewing cap.
  • Store the QwickInjector® with the cap loose to prevent thread binding and pressure build-up.

Product Use Guidelines and Warnings

Calibrate Adjustable Pressure Switches to Manufacturer Specs

Correct pressure switch operation is integral to the safety of a furnace environment. The SDMN6 is a dual-port manometer that also accurately tests pressure switches by simulating a draft with an internal pump.

The SDMN6 allows you to test pressure switches the right way.

Adjust the pump’s speed to create a negative pressure (vacuum). The red LED indicates when the switch closes. View the closing and opening pressures directly on the LCD.

The dual-port manometer measures ±60 inches of water column, high enough for gas manifold pressures.

Check building pressurization with static pressure resolution of 0.01”WC. View P1-P2 in the bottom line of the display for checking the performance of a blower.

Overview

The SDMN6 dual-port manometer measures gas and static pressure and also accurately tests pressure switches by simulating a draft with an internal pump. A pressure switch is a safety device that prevents the furnace from running in an unsafe manner. The SDMN6 tests the pressure switch to determine if it is working properly, or if it is starting to fail which can cause the furnace to run in an unsafe manner. Plus, with the SDMN6 you can easily calibrate any adjustable pressure switch to manufacturers’ specification, so there’s no need to carry a large variety of pressure switches on your truck.

The Dual Port Manometer has the ranges to measure gas pressure and the resolution needed to measure static pressure. Ideal for HVACR field service technicians, the SDMN6 can determine if the gas pressure coming into the house or out of the regulator are correct. The SDMN6 measures gas pressure up to 60″ water column (WC) with a resolution of 0.1″ WC. In addition, the unit measures both positive and negative pressure, which is used for measurement on vacuum control lines. The unit will take differential pressure readings and display the difference between P1 and P2 at all times in the lower right corner of the easy-to-read LCD. Four different measurement scales can be used: inches of water column, millimeters of water column, mBar, and PSI.

The SDMN6 also has a zero adjust to zero out the meter in different ambient pressures. It has a hold button to hold the currently displayed reading. The auto-power-off function conserves battery life, but can be disabled if desired.
In the static pressure mode, the unit can measure up to 2″WC with resolution to 0.010″WC, which enables a technician to measure small differences in air (or static) pressure.
