What is WD-40 Specialist?

WD-40 Specialist is a new line of best-in-class maintenance products specifically formulated to help you get specific tasks done with ease. The line includes: Rust Release Penetrant Spray, Water Resistant Silicone Lubricant, Protective White Lithium Grease, Long-Term Corrosion Inhibitor, and Rust Remover Soak.

WD-40® SPECIALIST™ RUST REMOVER SOAK

Dissolves rust quickly without harming surrounding parts, trim, gaskets or paint. It restores surfaces to bare metal without scraping, chipping or scrubbing. For light rust, leave parts in 1-3 hours and for heavy rust, leave parts in overnight. This non-toxic and biodegradable formula is effective on small or large items that can be soaked.

WD-40® SPECIALIST™ WATER RESISTANT SILICONE LUBRICANT

Safely lubricates, waterproofs and protects metal and non-metal surfaces, including rubber, plastic and vinyl better than leading competitors. It dries fast and leaves a clear, non-staining film that doesn’t stick or make a mess, so it won’t attract dirt. Effective in a temperature range from 100° F to 500° F, it’s ideal for use on cables, pulleys, guide rails, valves, linkages, hinges, locks and more, and is 50-state VOC compliant.

WD-40® SPECIALIST™ LONG TERM CORROSION INHIBITOR

Protects and lubricates metal parts, blocking rust and corrosion for up to one year outdoors and two years indoors. It is ideal for both preventative maintenance and use in extreme environments such as high humidity. Safe to use and 50-state VOC compliant, it provides non-drying lubrication that stays where you spray it.

WD-40® SPECIALIST™ PROTECTIVE WHITE LITHIUM GREASE

Is ideal for metal-to-metal applications that require heavy-duty lubrication and protection against rust and corrosion. It sprays on evenly as a liquid and sets dry for a thick, protective coating that won’t wash off, melt, freeze or run in any weather. Effective in a temperature range from 0° F to 300° F, WD-40 Specialist White Lithium Grease provides unbeatable protection with long-lasting lubrication on auto hinges, gears, sprockets, outdoor hinges, latches, overhead door tracks, pulleys, cables and guide rails. It’s also excellent for lubricating equipment before placing in storage, and is 50-state VOC compliant.

WD-40® SPECIALIST™ RUST RELEASE PENETRANT

Penetrates deep into crevices, threads and seams to break the bonds that hold stuck parts together. It also leaves behind a protective layer and helps prevent rust and corrosion from re-forming. Containing Blu TorchTM Technology, a proprietary blend of synthetic additives, it quickly goes to work on rusted nuts, bolts, threads, locks and chains. NoVent Refrigerant Locking Caps
NOVENT was created by industry professionals after evidence of refrigerant theft, many times resulting in brain damage or death, after inhaling or “huffing” refrigerant.

NOVENT created the original tamper resistant refrigerant locking caps for the service valve on all air conditioning and mini split systems.

NOVENT caps are patented and precisely machined from high grade brass and encompassed within a protective refrigerant color-coded aluminum casing. These caps are corrosion resistant and have an O-ring seal to provide a positive back-up for leaking service valves.

NOVENT caps are secured on to a unit with a special key sold only to certified HVAC technicians and provide a tamper resistant barrier to reduce theft, vandalism, and the accidental mixing of refrigerant.

NOVENT supports all EPA Management Programs. The use of refrigerant locking caps has been added to the 2009 IMC (international Mechanical Code) and 2009 IRC International Residential Code) for installation on all exposed refrigeration units to help prevent unauthorized access. IAPMO also adopted the code in 2011. The products are a must for companies and technicians to comply with local codes as well as liability concerns connected with refrigerants.
